Curbwise helps users find local secondhand listings, compare prices, and receive alerts for items they are interested in. This Privacy Policy explains what information Curbwise collects, how it is used, and how users can contact us.
Location information. Curbwise may collect approximate or precise location information, or a location selected by the user, to show nearby marketplace listings, apply distance filters, support local alerts, and limit service availability by area.
App activity and preferences. Curbwise may collect search queries, saved alerts, selected categories, listing interactions, price-analysis requests, app settings, and similar activity needed to provide the app’s features.
Device and app information. Curbwise may collect device identifiers or app-generated install identifiers, diagnostics, crash information, network information, and basic usage data to operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
Marketplace listing data. When users browse or submit listings through supported marketplace views, Curbwise may send listing titles, prices, images, links, locations, and related listing metadata to our backend so the app can display listings, deduplicate results, estimate prices, and send alerts.
Advertising data. If ads are enabled, Curbwise may use Google AdMob or similar advertising services. These services may collect or receive device identifiers, ad identifiers, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics, and related data to provide, measure, and improve ads, subject to their own policies and user consent where required.
We use collected information to provide local search, distance filtering, saved alerts, listing recommendations, AI-assisted price analysis, app security, fraud prevention, debugging, analytics, and advertising where enabled.
Curbwise may share information with service providers that help operate the app, including cloud hosting providers, analytics or crash-reporting providers, advertising partners such as Google AdMob, and AI or search providers used for price analysis. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the security and integrity of the service.
Curbwise does not sell personal and sensitive user data.
Curbwise may link to or display content from third-party marketplaces and services. Interactions with those services are governed by their own privacy policies. Curbwise is not affiliated with or endorsed by Facebook, Nextdoor, eBay, Craigslist, OfferUp, or other third-party marketplaces unless explicitly stated.
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain alerts, improve listing quality, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and operate backups. Users may request deletion of data associated with their app usage by contacting us at the email below.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS for data transmission, access controls, and backend security measures. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Curbwise is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
